Manual review with test guides
Plan the evaluation the W3C way, then review every criterion automation cannot decide — each with a step-by-step test guide.
How it works
- A test plan records the scope, the WCAG version and level, and a representative sample of pages, journeys and documents (W3C WCAG-EM).
- Every WCAG A and AA criterion has a test guide: what to check, how, and what counts as a failure, linked to the W3C explanation.
- You record a verdict for each criterion — with the method and date — and add issues you find yourself to the same register as the scanner’s.
- Screen-reader and other assistive-technology tests are logged with the tool, browser and outcome; screenshots and files stay with the evidence.
Details
- A verdict older than a year is returned to review, because the site has changed since.
What it does not do
- A person decides; AccessFold records. The guides help you test — they do not test for you.
